The Happy Place project

We have a brand new project that has just started this month at the Diverse allotment, which is just a 2 minute walk from the Unity Hubb.

The Happy Place project, run by the wonderful Faith, will take place every Wednesday between 10am and 12pm at plot 8 on the allotments. The idea is to create a space for wildlife and wellbeing, making a happy place for nature and people!

The plans include creating lots of different habitats for wildlife, including a wildflower area, a wildlife pond, bee hotels and bug boxes.

We will also be building benches and seating made from reclaimed materials, weaving willow into structures and creating a beautiful mosaic table that will reflect all the skill and creativity of our members!

As well as creating places for wildlife to thrive, we will be learning all the skills involved, from building furniture to sowing wildflower meadows, and lots more!

Everyone is welcome to take part and help us create our new Happy Place! Come along and join us every Wednesday from 10am, we hope to see you there.
